WHAT'S A BE GIRL?

A BE Girl is someone who knows they're special, who embraces their uniqueness and who has something positive to say. A BE Girl represents positive self-esteem, empowerment for all girls of all backgrounds and cultures. She embraces her differences and knows that they are unique to her. A BE Girl is Brave, Bold, Brilliant, Boundless, a Builder and Be-You-tiful. She is ready and willing to BE who SHE wants to BE while bettering herself and being a positive example to others.

OUR CAMPAIGN PROJECT!

CASTING CALL!! We're putting together a large multicultural group of girls to take part in a music video for our Be-You-tiful Girls Self-esteem campaign. We're looking for girls ages 8-17 who want to help spread the message of positive self-esteem awareness, girls who have something to say, be themselves and showcase their talents, whatever they may be. It's about YOU being the positive voice and face for all girls, everywhere to identify with.

Be-You-tifu Girls Club is Charity of Choice for 2010!

The Hamilton Police Female Choir has selected the Be-you-tiful girls club as this year's ''Charity of Choice"!! They will be making their special presentation at our Be-You-tiful Girls Day, as well as doing a special performance for the girls and interacting with the girls in the day.

Queen Cee Wins the YWCA's Women of Distinction Award

Queen Cee has won the Woman of Distinction Award for Arts, Entertainment and Creative Energy.  She feels honoured to have been a nominee and blessed to have been give the title.  With all her efforts that she does in the community and in the fields of the arts, she feels very proud to be a part of the YWCA sisterhood and happy to be recognized for her initiatives.  Well, the work doesn't stop now, it only continues!  Thanks to all the supporters!

Well, I've just finished customizing the layout of our new BE Girl blog, still some tweeking to do but so far so good.  I will also be putting up the video footage from the Social Justice Fair that was put on by the school board here in Hamilton.  After watching all the footage, I think I know who the next BE Girl of the month is.... But truly ALL the girls who voiced their thoughts on video were great!! Thank you girls!!
I met so many smart Be-You-tiful Girls of all backgrounds,; it was fabulous and they were all so interactive and friendly.  So, it was nice meeting you all!

Now stay tuned, make sure you comment on the posts we put up and also we will be introducing some other new aspects to the blog just for you girls.

I sent email invites out for girls to join and sign up to the blog so I hope you'll all help me out in spreading the word!

We are meeting tons of youth today, talking to girls of all ages.  We put up some footage on youtube and I think I'll get some girls to hit up this message board with a positive message to send out to the world!
